Could that sand be that white? I would like to go there so much that I almost get sick because I can’t. Its absolutely out of this world.

I believe it is. Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman looks like that. Like pure white sugar without a bit of seaweed or ocean debris on the beach. And the water is the most gorgeous shade of clear glittering aquamarine.

We don't have good beaches along the CA coast - at least none that compare with any in the Caribbean. For some reason we get lots of that yucky stinky seaweed that washes up and then rots on the beach. I grew up near the ocean back east and was never so disappointed as I was when I first saw the "beautiful" California beaches. And the ocean water is freezing no matter what the time of year. I suppose there are some nice stretches of beach here, but a lot of the coast line is rocky or littered with ocean debris.
