I had some peanut butter yesterday and also made Marissa a peanut butter and jellie sandwich. I opened the jar of peanut butter about a month ago. Decided that we would already have been sick if there was anything wrong with it.
Yes, I’m sure you’re probably safe with your jar of peanut butter if it hasn’t made you sick already! Mine hadn’t been opened yet, and didn’t want to take the chance - and I did hate to throw out the cookies, but they were a packaged mix anyway, so it wasn’t a great loss, time-wise. (I do like peanut butter cookies with a Hershey’s Kiss or Reese’s Peanut Butter on top!)
OAops! That would be “Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup” on top of the Peanut Butter cookie, of course.
