Common Loon with Chick

I had never heard a Loon call until I saw "On Golden Pond".
It was set in a lovely location for nature lovers.

Ever heard a marsh hen? Or martian, as #2 son calls them. LOL

The movie was the first time I had heard or seen pictures (identified) as loons. On Golden Pond showed me a lovely area that I was unfamiliar with. I would love to be able to see a real live loon.

I always wanted the guy's job who drove the mail boat. Except when he took Katharine Hepburn to look for Henry Fonda and the boy at night.
