Resolution

I open my eyes to a whole new year
a new way and a new day
one with more challenge, and less fear
wherein I have more say

I shall set one foot in front of the other
make a new trail
and take new chances, not hide in safe cover
for I will not fail

It is up to me to find the way for me
seek a road to a better life
be it even upon some far distant sea
build joy amid the strife

a truly honest Conservative life my goal
with my God as guide
my country’s future free of liberal toll
and evil no place to hide
