“Ducks of Hazzard”
LOL ... Thanks, Lady!
Something to eat?
Yesterday was Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day. ;^)
I visited Facebook and watched the Truckin Duck again. :)
Though he wasn’t there, my grampa remembered that. It was horrible though it sounds kind of funny.
It is true that people say they can still get a whiff of molasses on Commercial Street and Atlantic Ave.
More from Wiki:
The collapse unleashed an immense wave of molasses between 8 and 15 ft (2.5 to 4.5 m) high, moving at 35 mph (56 km/h) and exerting a pressure of 2 ton/ft² (200 kPa). The molasses wave was of sufficient force to break the girders of the adjacent Boston Elevated Railway’s Atlantic Avenue structure and lift a train off the tracks. Nearby, buildings were swept off their foundations and crushed. Several blocks were flooded to a depth of 2 to 3 feet. As described by author Stephen Puleo,
Molasses, waist deep, covered the street and swirled and bubbled about the wreckage. Here and there struggled a form whether it was animal or human being was impossible to tell. Only an upheaval, a thrashing about in the sticky mass, showed where any life was... Horses died like so many flies on sticky fly-paper. The more they struggled, the deeper in the mess they were ensnared. Human beings men and women suffered likewise.
The Boston Globe reported that people “were picked up by a rush of air and hurled many feet.” Others had debris hurled at them from the rush of sweet-smelling air. A truck was picked up and hurled into Boston Harbor. Approximately 150 were injured; 21 people and several horses were killed some were crushed and drowned by the molasses. The wounded included people, horses, and dogs; coughing fits became one of the most common ailments after the initial blast.

We are a very sad state!! Our once lovely state is bankrupt! Has been for the last few years. The liberals are just now start to realize it.
cute graphic!!
LOL
Is that your front yard? *smile*
Thanks, yorkie. Thanks for the mail and the link - an unusual web site for that gif!
Not my yard. If I put that sign in my yard I’d be the only one who could see it.
I lean heavily on Mother Nature to remove snow.
Clippity Clop .... Clippity Clop .... Mule Train.
I’ve almost got my wagon packed. :)
California medical and education costs for illegals more than covers the cost of our budget shortfall. IMHO
I have one more gripe ..... don’t you have to be a citizen to vote? Don’t you have to be able to read and write English to become a citizen? Why are ballots printed in anything other than English?
Was the law on citizenship changed?
It was members of SEIU that were rallying in Fresno today. They don’t realize that the trough is empty.
The illegal immigrant situation has been a sore spot with me for a LONG time - I finally gave up posting on the main forum about it - as one can only repeat the same things just so many times.
The illegal alien reminds me of the mistletoe plant. It attaches itself to a host tree and begins to suck the nutrients out of it. Then, along come more of it’s family - I guess they smell the “free food”. It almost looks like the host tree in it’s disguise.
No one planted it there. No one gave it permission. No one invited it. It just moved in and took over.
It feeds freely, and soon the host tree starts to lose it’s color. It is dying. But, the mistletoe keeps feeding, along with all the family members. When there are no more nutrients left and the host has died, they all move on to another host.
This is what is happening all over the country. It is pitiful (and frightening).
We enjoy getting to the coast .... Santa Barbara, Solvang, Morro Bay, Cambria and Monterey. We have also enjoyed the coast north of SF ... Bodega Bay, Eureka, etc.
We have great memories.
Wish it was popular to wear more hats as it was a whole buncha years ago - I think of the Flapper Era pics and the cute hats they wore. :)
The strawberry ice cream looks so good - though that's an awful lot of 'scoops' for one dish! :)
Love orange juice - great with Peach Schnapps, too! :)
