Posted on 12/31/2008 2:37:33 PM PST by budhead123

Help I have a Border Collie / mix Dog He is 1 1/2 yrs old, he is a very smart dog, The other night I had to go looking for him and found him on a deer.... still alive! He has a sisiter that is 6 months old and is a Black Lab /mix. she to was with him shortly getting in on the action. I pulled him off. and scolded him allthe way home, this moring I let them out and went in to bake a cake, 30 min. i called them to come in and no one came. I put on my jacket and when out to look for them. Just as I started up the 4 wheeler they both came running around the shop and both are cover in blood. I called to the boder collie and asked him to show me what he caught and he took me to the dead deer. Is this something I shuld be worried about? How do I stop this from ever happening again, some one help! There must be a way I do not want to have to put him down. thank you

OK....Changing topics....

Just fired a nifty 4 port KVM switch with audio....fixed some problems with a sluggish mouse and improved Audio....

Got it at Fry's while shopping for a bluetooth mouse for my new laptop,,,Made by IOGEAR...4 X 's are usually expensive...got this for less than $50...

New Egg has them too:

IOGEAR GCS634U MiniView USB KVM Switch with audio and cables

However....End of Year savings, ends 12/31

I’d LOVE to get a border collie.

We rescued one from the pound. Parents bought a pup for their daughters for Christmas. Gave up the pup New Years.

We took her. Every time I put on a pair of shoes she went for the laces, consequently we named her Lacey.

Fantastic dog. Loved kids, any kid. She'd let them maul her. She was more wary of adults but quickly befriended them.

Smart beyond any other dog I've had. Sometimes I thought she could read my mind.

Being pretty old and inactive we shouldn't have had her but we kept her busy with games.
Have to give them a challenge . Hide and seek, fetch, etc. If they get bored they chew.
She got a blood disease and died a few yrs. ago.

Really miss that dog. She was so much fun.

He's actually laying flat on his back, arms at his sides, getting an intense tummy rub.
His smile was just so freaky I had to take a picture. He looks pretty normal, right side up.

Nice Pup Ern. I guess I had a senior 1/2 hour. I think my friends dog was a Irish Setter with almost a blond coat so the effect was alluring but I was already married at the time...

Yeah, we rescued a poodle or mix poodle. Good dog but (let me turn the laptop so she can’t see this) I miss Lacey.

You’d take a DEER and tie it to your dog’s neck???

******

ROFLOL....no...take a piece of the deer...leg..hide...something that will really irritate the dog. NOT the whole deer!!! LOL Let him/her wear it for a few days. Summer is great, the flies get REAL irritating.
