While Howie does a great job, and has national knowlege, but he doesn’t know Hartford area politics at all and would need a sidekick or something to open up a new market, he does too well in Boston because he KNOWS Boston!

Unless, Howie starts to market to NATIONAL instead of local?

Howie Carr's show is already nationally (or PART nationally) syndicated. I think he's on the air throughout New England, and in a few states in the south. (Do you know, raccoonradio?)

I don't think politics in the Hartford area are anywhere as "interesting" as those in Boston! I have to admit that sometimes I change the channel to Hannity or music when Howie goes on and on about politics on Beacon Hill. I don't really know the specifics of the politicians he's talking about, and he doesn't always educate his audience about these Boston RATs' "quirks". Too many "inside jokes" I just don't get...

Howie was syndicated on some selected stations in the past but not anymore. He had stations in Salt Lake City, Seattle
(KIRO-FM which later became a country station), somewhere
in Minn., a Cincinnati suburb, and for a time even
WROW in Albany but now it’s pretty much New England.

To the best of my recollection, Howie’s on in Boston (WRKO),
Holyoke (WHYN), Worc. (WCRN) and Cape Cod (WXTK) MA;
WVMT in Burlington VT; a few NH stations like WNTK and
WUVR in Lake Sunapee and Hanover NH, and some ME stations
like WGAN Portland, and stations in Presque Isle and Augusta. No Conn. stations at this time...
