Am I right, my Nutmegger friends?
Absolutely. Colin McEnroe was your stereotypical liberal: pretentious and arrogant. Loved to mock conservatives and, very rarely, dissed some Democrat, which the liberals he played to touted as 'proving' McEnroe was 'open-minded'. Pure delusion.
I long ago realized that liberals always try to pretend they're 'open minded' when, in fact, they are as rigid in their political ideology as any conservative ever was. Case in point: the venom from the left directed at Alaska Governor Sarah Palin when she ran for vice president.
On the other hand, conservatives in the talk radio game don't pretend. They flat-out - and proudly - state their conservative convictions and usually can not only defend them but easily tear down the left's ideology as the failed, repressive sham that it is now - with Messiah Obama as it's new leader - and always has been.
The WTIC-AM website is loaded with e-mail from lefties bemoaning the 'loss' of their beloved Colin McEnroe and their angry vows to abandon WTIC-AM forever. Boo Hoo. They also get in jabs at semi-conservative, affable Jim Vicevitch as "stupid and boring", which is the polar opposite of the truth, but hey, we're dealing with blue-state leftist robots here, so what can you expect?
To those who reside in 'Red' states and haven't had to endure living in a liberal la-la land where lefties reign in everything (except talk radio) and the state Republican party is in a coma, count your blessings!
One of these years, when hubby and I won't be tied here because of job and family responsibilities, we're gonna get out of here and move to a Red State. We've both just about had it, living among these libs and paying their high taxes. Connecticut being the new Gay State is the last straw.
It worries me just which states will stay Red, though, with the changing demographics in certain states, ie Florida and Texas. New Hampshire and (I guess) Nevada have gone over to the dark (blue) side, I guess... :-(
Maybe South Carolina...?
