Carbon Monoxide Detectors save lives!! We had a water heater that was burning incorrectly and would never have had a clue if the CO Detector hadn’t gone off.
Get one and install it according to the Mfg. instructions!!

They could have opened a window as well. I’ve used the gas grill in my garage and had no problems simply because I had adequate ventilation.

Forty-nine people were in the garage and throughout the home That is a lot of people to grill for.
I wish they would have stated if the garage door was open or closed.
I can not imagine that it was closed.
Running the grill while cooking for 49 people in a closed space is a guarantee of CO poisoning.

Why didn’t they BBQ outside?
49 people in the garage, good grief how big was the garage?

"Jeff's phone here. Jeff doesn't have At&T, so no bars out here."
"That call about not BBQ'ing in the garage, we didn't get that."

CO is a dangerous gas and cause death of brain cells....if these people had any in the first place.
...I'm sure their public school told them how important it was to have diversity at a barbecue, but nothing about gas grills.
