IF she hadn't been a supermodel, Elle Macpherson may have had the raw material to make it as a surfer.
As these pictures show, the 44-year-old known as The Body certainly cuts a fine figure on the waves.
Last week, at Byron Bay's Wategos Beach, Macpherson took to the water with former US champion Rusty Miller.
Miller, who was crowned US surfing champion in 1965, said Macpherson appeared at ease in the water.
"She's a real natural. She's familiar and comfortable in the water,'' Miller has told The Sunday Telegraph.
Macpherson, who is in Australia for Christmas, is seemingly enjoying time to herself without having her sons in tow.
Macpherson's time at Byron Bay followed a reinvigorating few days at a resort at Mount Tamborine, in the Gold Coast hinterland.
She spent Christmas Day with family members and friends including her sister Mimi, who recently filed for bankruptcy.
Macpherson is expected to see in the new year from a private launch on Sydney Harbour before joining the A-list crowd at Bondi restaurant Iceberg's New Year's Day party.

Not only is she NOT “hanging ten”, she’s barely staying on the damned surf board, and all she’s riding is the foam. I don’t see a wave in any of the photos at the link.
All that said; Nice body though!

One of her boyfriends released a sex tape. Maybe she made some profit from it. Appears the only thing she’s good at is laying on her back and wasting her sisters money on unprofitable businesses.
wasn’t said sister filmed in a candid sex scene by her “boyfriend?” If so, guess it didn’t pay too well after being released.
Not bad for 44 (as in age).
