I love guns and I own a few. But exactly what kind of marauding zombies does one need to expect at their door to make significant difference between 7 or 8 shots.

It's actually 8 and 9 shots with one in the chamber. My point was for self defense purposes, there really is no distinction between the two. I have an old double barrel that I can fire twice without reloading loaded with 00. That delivers 18 .32 caliber slugs in less time than I can blink.

Really, I was kidding. I own a couple of guns, all inherited. I love shooting, but generally not a hunter. Not that I have anything against those that are.

My grandfather was a plant manager for the Springfield Armory in WWII. Guns have always been a part of my life.

I think its important for people to understand what it means to have guns in the home. I also think it is important for people to understand how unlikely it is to ever have such a drastic need for a weapon.

To each his own. Sometimes the questions scare me more than the answers.\
