No receiver has ever won the NFL’s MVP award. Jerry Rice came the closest with 23 touchdowns in a strike shortened season back in 1987.
Ed Reed - Ravens. Defensive player of the year. Without him Baltimore wouldn’t be in the playoffs, in a year with a rookie QB & coach when they should have had no chance.
Anyone from Detroit.
I agree with you but Steve Smith cost the Panthers the #1 seed when he was called for holding against the Giants on the last drive. Had he not held, the Panthers would have won easily. That loss was almost 100% his fault. I really don’t think there is a good candidate this year.
Holmgren never forgave the Seahawks front office for allowing Hutchinson to escape. It’s a major reason he’s leaving Seattle.
Peyton Manning
He’ll win it, deservedly so.
Tom Brady. Now we know what his value is.
DeAnglo Williams
1. Highest yards per carry, 5.5, of all of the top rushers.
2. Zero fumbles this is not a huge issue with me as there are lots of 2 or 3 fumble guys, but Peterson’s 9 are disqualifying in my view.
Yes. It’s all the Front office / Hutchinson incident fault. Thats why Holgrem is leaving like three years after Hutch went to the Vikings........
Kurt Warner. With Payton Manning in a close 2nd place.
I heard Manning nixed one joke on his SNL appearance. A reporter was supposed to comment that Brady had two more Super Bowl rings than Peyton. Manning was supposed to say, “Brady’s got two other things I don’t have.” Brady has two illegitimate children.
I think I’d vote for Bob Sanders, Strong Safety for the Colts. Never in my life have a I seen a team that could go SO QUICKLY from good to bad on defense depending on the the health of ONE guy!
Seriously, though.. I’d be OK with Warner or Manning... but, I would vote for Peyton.
Michael Vick getting busted for running that dog fighting syndicate may turn out to be the best thing to ever happen to the Falcons.
Who would have thought, eh...?
I know he had a son with that actress. But there was another....? Didn't know that.
I can see why he nixed that joke.
There were other reasons. But to let a player like that go, when he was in his prime, made Holmgren seriously question the organization’s commitment to winning a Super Bowl.
Man, you got that right!
I had not seen it before...it is one of the funnier things I’ve seen all year.
I’m wacko for Flacco. Rookie of the year, at least.
Hard to decide between Flacco and Matt Ryan.
