I agree the Maverick is a good buy. The one thing I don’t care for on them is they have only one action bar. Of course John Browning only put one on his design which Ithaca copied in the famous model 37. I still much prefer the double action bars of the model 500, Remington 870, Winchester 1200, 1300 etc.

Actually the current/newer models have two action bars.

That is good to know. I always wondered if they really saved any money going to the single action bar.
