That doesn’t necessarily mean the cheetah won’t “own” the dog. I mean, WE outweigh alot of cheetahs. And 1 doesn’t really want to meet up with bobcats, lynx or cougars, being either human or our dogs.
Cheetahs routinely weigh 140-150 lbs, run 50 + MPH and hunt much larger, just as fast prey, such as Wildebeest (Gnu), Impala and Gazelle.

Pings of Things
Thanks devolve, always neat to see these things. The link in post 18 is cute.
I was on the doggie ping list for years and something has happened lately with who ever took over!

Thanks
I looked at the linked page
I recall Cheetahs with leashes on their necks in a very low wire-fenced enclosure at Africa USA in Florida
They were very calm and not threatening at all
One of my favorite animals

Interesting, I never heard you say that before. You would think they would need a very high enclosure to contain them. A very pretty animal.

Stout chains - thick strong collars - steel stakes corkscrewed deep into the ground
Well fed Cheetahs -
The thing with that is that there can’t be any trees or anything around or they get tangled up.
Stacy had a friend who had their Yorkie tied out on a chain. It was able to jump up onto the bench and picnic table, jumped off the other side and hung itself!!
