Hardest part of the hiring process is getting past the 23-yr old HR bimbo with a degree in sociology.

When I was preparing to leave the USAF, I was told by such a bimbo that I had no “major corporate experience.”

I guess working for over 20-yrs in the Air Force (600,000 people at the time), didn't qualify, not running a couple billion dollar a year contracts. Nope, no experience there.

Its the truth. These people have no idea what the job entails.

They just read buzzwords, herd people and look for ways to cut benefits L0L

I'm so sorry your experience with a 23 year old college grad was so bad.

I've never been in the military, but I'll tell you this: when I've run across guys like you and I've been in a position to hire, I'd hire you in a heartbeat.

Didn't matter to me if you have 70% of the skills I was looking for or 100%. I knew guys like you had great foundations to build on, would learn what was required quickly and typically had great work ethics.

My sincere thanks to you for your service to our country.
