Think about what this person means to you, putting aside silly politics. We get too wrapped up in this kind of thing when what we should be thinking in your situation is, what does this person mean to me, and based on that, what would I like to express to them?
Think about this, and then you'll know. And it won't have a thing to do with politics, I bet.

I’m with Prole. Let politics and anger at them be set to the side at this time of year.
What would Jesus do? Would he want a gift given in His honor to be about a grudge or even a pinch of anger/contempt?

So, where do you go from there?
I really like my son's girlfriend for instance, but am at a loss as what to get for her. (17)
