By the way, one more thing: should I consider getting an upscaling DVD player?

No - most DVD players already offer progressive high-scan, as well as playback in different formats. If you want the high-resolution without paying for a Blu-Ray, then there's a DVD player that plays DVDs at 1080pi resolution. Crutchfield.com has some.

Well, my Panasonic DVD-S35 DVD player has 480p progressive-scan component video output that I can plug into the Component 1 input on the VIZIO VO32L. It should look good, though I do worry that it may look a tad "fuzzy" because 480p resolution is far below the 720p resolution of the VO32L.

And folks, please stop talking me into getting a 37" panel. The space I plan to put the panel (where my now-dead 27" CRT TV now sits awaiting its final fate) won't fit a 37" panel.
