Isn’t it “odd” that the man who would sing “Imagine there’s no heaven, It’s easy if you try, No hell below us, Above us only sky, Imagine all the people, Living for today... Imagine... no religion too” would also sniff “so THIS is Christmas...”

It would take me less time to list the Christmas songs I like, as in general I don’t care for holiday music as most of it sounds hokey, dated, or both.

But “Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time” makes me retch like no other seasonal song can.

Here are my top most annoying Christmas songs ever: 1. So This Is Christmas (War is over?) by John Lennon 2. Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time by Paul McCartney 3. Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart by Wham/George Michael 4. Santa Baby by Madonna

I totally agree with this list with the addition of "The Christmas Shoes", Elvis' "Blue Christmas", that song by Springstein, and some of the others listed. I would add a really annoying song by either Gloria Estefan or the Miami Sound Machine. I think it's the "let it snow, let it snow, let it snow" song. The music is absolutely awful. It sounds like really bad synthetic karaoke music from the early 80's. Makes my ears bleed.

My favorite variation is the Veggie Tales' "Eight Polish Foods of Christmas." And growing up with my Polish relatives, I could relate.
