Plenty of guys leave because they have found someone else.

PLENTY.

No doubt... however, of late the statistics have been showing a trend where women are initiating the divorce just because they think that they can do better....That was my ex. She thought she could do better status wise. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. She didn't realize that for most men, the most successful professional years don't begin until you're almost 40.

Women may be initiating it more but not necessarily because they think they can do better. But because they find out hubby has someone on the side.

My cousin's husband just split after 22 years of marriage. He is buying a new place with the girlfriend just 2 months after leaving her. So I can only assume it was going on for quite a while.

My next door neighbor's husband was dating her best friend behind her back. She only found out when she found a love letter. He ended up marrying the best friend.

He was willing to hang around until all his plans were firmed up. Didn't have the courage to leave right away. Same with my cousin's husband. They don't want to miss a week of someone cooking their meals and washing their clothes.

I could go on and on.

And sorry about your wife. But good for you.
