We would not go out on Prior Lake until after January 1st; It just wasn't a good idea. But January 10-March 25 were good for ice and fish houses.
Snowmobiles, fishing contests, etc. Miss em all.
When we left Minnesota, we sold our sleds to the Shakopee police chief and gave away our snow blower.

Fished a lot of contests on Prior, many moons ago...It was always touch and go on that one. During the coldest days of winter, it could open up due to currents and so on...

My favorite in that neighborhood was just down the road on Spring Lake. Crappies, all day long.......
