I had a 1972 Pinto 3 speed automatic that could get a "chirp" for the tires shifting into 2nd. Sadly, it was chopped in half by a van with a trailer full of canoes traveling 70 MPH down a 1 lane sandy road. He hit me on the front of my door as I rounded a corner a tore the car in two. He was mentally deficient and nearly killed me (no fire though).

My brand new Pinto would sit in the drive way “diesling” for 20 minutes if I didn’t shut it off in gear. Kept the POS only 9 months (11 trips to the dealership) before trading it off.
