I can't believe how ugly people get here on FR when it comes to pets! Pro or con, whatever side of the fence you're on, the conversation gets very immature for some strange reason! People have their likes and dislikes which can seem bizarre or unreasonable to others, but that's what makes the world go round! Cats need someone to take care of them, same with dogs. Do we need to get defensive or offensive about who picks what to love??

Oh isn’t that clever. 21st Century America can’t distinguish the love of an adoptive parent for his child from an owner for his dog and that’s somehow the parent’s weakness.
