They were puppies from a shelter.

Where does it say they were pitbull puppies? And if they were, then what?

If you read the article, it mentions that the lady was a humane society volunteer, driving shelter animals to an adoption event. So, she didn’t breed any of the puppies, and only her own dog was mentioned as being a pit bull - the puppies were probably mostly mutts or all kinds of different breeds.

Got that on a closer read. Makes it a much better story.

I know...I know...dogs have OWNERS not parents. I GET IT. As Rush says "Dogs have owners or masters, Cats have a staff".

BTW, yesterday’s local paper reported over 2,400 animals had been euthanized at the local shelter last year. For a city of under 30,000 that’s a lot. Part is due to the culture that many from south of the border bring to this country. Lots breed pit bulls for status, guard dogs and/or fighting. Others get a puppy for children and when it gets big, just turn it loose on the highway. And of course, most do not take care to spay or neuter there pets, especially cats, so they breed like rabbits.

Pit bull illiteracy; the inability to read a heart-warming story with the word ‘pit bull’ in it and not completely flip out.
We're doing well, how's your pack?
Did I tell you I got a chihuahua??

Mr.Legs named him Zero. Eight months old. Aside from a serious Napolean Complex, he's alot of fun.

Wasn't one of your yorkies due to have puppies awhile back? Did everything work out okay?

Wrong.
Why do some of you people take this attitude with dog people.
To some of us with no children, dogs ARE our families.
BTW, there’s no such thing as a free kid, just like there’s no such thing as a free puppy. Do you have any idea how much the total to raise a kid to age 18, (and sometimes beyond), comes to?

So you think you’re affection for an animal is the same as that of an adoptive parent toward his or her child?

If you read post# 15 several times slowly maybe you will learn something.
There probably is other threads better suited to a linguistically challenged bitter person like you.

I can’t speak for anyone but myself, pal.
To me, my dog IS my pride and joy. I can’t speak of what a parent feels.
Noe quit trolling this happy and heartwarming thread with your bovine scatology, willya?
