Just let Casey free around her old neighborhood. You don't even have to take her to prison to get the same results IMO.

Casey is not a very sympathetic figure so her defense is going to have a hard time trying to explain how a ‘mother’ does this to her child and shouldn't get life or the death penalty (if they put it back on the table).

It sounds as if she had a case of ‘Susan Smith’ syndrome by trying to get rid of her responsibility to her child in exchange for a new sperm donor/shack up or whatever you want to call it.
