This is a crock- Cleo was NOT- I repeat- NOT of mixed heritage. She was NOT black.
Cleo was a Ptolemy- a MEDITERANNEAN and the daughter (or granddaughter) of one of Alexander’s generals.
I cannot express my contempt enough for those who wish to remake historical figures in the form of some blighted “minority group”. Enough.

There was about a 275 year interval between the accession of Alexander’s general Ptolemy to the Egyptian throne and Cleopatra’s heyday. There was some intermarriage with the locals in the interim so she wasn’t purely “Greek” or Macedonian. But no, she wasn’t black either, most likely.

Not only that but the family of the Ptolemy dynasty inbreeded with one another which I think kinda kept the Greek blood in the family.
