Yepper
LOL! This is just oh too rich.
MM
When his sequel to “The Rising,” entitled “The Caterwauling” or some other more pretentious thing, is also used to wear down enemy combatants at Gitmo, what’s he going to do, bust a vein?
Way to bring attention to the fact that your music is considered “torture” there Bruce.
Of course, I’ve considered it torture for years.
Who cares what this deranged lunatic thinks, really?
I wonder how this tune played out in Eclair’s mind....
“I WAS (NOT) BOORRRN IN THE USA....”
Me thinks Mr. Springsteen has political aspirations.
I’d crack if I had to listen to “Streets of Philadelphia” and “Glory Days” over and over again.
Look Bruce, we didn’t mean for it to go this far, just don’t release another song and we’ll quit, ok? But if you do, could you send an advance copy to the Dept. of Defense? Thanks.
“The first song that played over the loudspeakers after Obama’s first speech as president-elect in Chicago’s Grant Park was Springsteen’s ‘The Rising.’ No other singer backed Barack Obama more, and no other singer made clear his apathy for the Bush regime. Springsteen’s outright opposition to the war in Iraq is no secret, telling Americans on more than one occasion that they have been misled on the issue. When Ronald Reagan mentioned that he thought highly of his masterpiece ‘Born in the USA’ the Boss made it clear that he didn’t want Reagan’s side of politics using the song in any way to promote their cause.
With all that in mind it should come as no surprise that Bruce Springsteen was furious on hearing the news that his music is being used to torture inmates at Guantanamo Bay. Allegedly the music is turned up at full volume and blasted while detainees are interrogated. ‘He’s mad as hell, furious....this is a betrayal of all he stands for’ a music industry insider told us. ‘He is considering his options but don’t be surprised if a new song is released making his feelings clear and the legal route is being discussed.’
One thing is certain: We will be hearing from Bruce Springsteen on this topic, never one to shy away from expressing his opinions on an issue, probably sooner rather than later.”
That allnewsweb blog is a problem, they have been dumping stories on FR in recent weeks but who are they?
Nothing in this article is sourced or linked, how is this news, or a news source? (It never has been in the two weeks that they have saturated FR).
Two days ago ‘Kerry deVille of allnewsweb’ was smearing Governor Palin (they published this ‘fresh’ story two days ago) “She clearly knew little of life outside Alaska and allegedly was unaware that Africa was a continent, thinking that it was one country. This scared many and the initial buzz over the hockey-mum fizzled out.”
Sorry allnewsweb has been laying unsourced, unoriginal, blog nonsense on us for 4 weeks not 2.
“She clearly knew little of life outside Alaska and allegedly was unaware that Africa was a continent, thinking that it was one country.” Kerry de Ville Allnewswebblog
They are an Australian News bereau, they are fairly well known; 5they supply stories to fox, I think.
Hey, Allnewsweb was hardly the first to peddle that line!
Do you think that Governor Palin “clearly knew little of life outside Alaska and allegedly was unaware that Africa was a continent, thinking that it was one country.”?
hey, I just posted the story, I don’t know whether this is true, nor do you: my guess it might be, however I would lean to saying it is not true-but that canard has been all over the news, does that mean none of them are news sources? or havent you heard it other than here???
You are new here but your agenda is not.
Here is a post from you.

Although a conservative myself, reading your coments makes me realise that I am happy Obama won. To refer to Palin as the leading conservative is an insult to conservatism.””
Everything that you post is from the same blog and almost always the same guy, “Kerry de Ville”
You are glad that Obama won and you hate Palin, whats up with all that?
