I have two black cats. Adpoted both from the shelter - one as an adult. They’re spoiled rotten and pretty lucky now!

We had a Siamese who adopted us. A couple days later she had a litter of kittens in the moving van as we moved from city to country. 4 white kittens and 1 black. We named the black one Benson and he would wade in the shallows of our pond catching catfish twice his size. He’d bring them to the house and leave them at the front door. Took a cottonmouth to take him down. He was the coolest!

Years ago when I worked at a pet store, it was an unwritten but well know rule of thumb that we were NOT to sell ANY black cats during the month of October.
Here's our precious Daphne, as far as she's concerned it's her world and we just live in it. Her hobbies include sleeping on the kids beds and tormenting our grey longhaired cat Apollo every chance she gets...

My sweet little Bonnie Cat was solid black. She found me beside the largest lake West of the Continental Divide, so I named her Bonnie Blue Lake.

This is a Savannah kitten. Half African Serval and half domestic cat.
They weigh between 10-25 lbs when full grown.
Nice kitty. Say, where is the dachshund?

Aw, I wish I could adopt a kitty - I’d probably naturally gravitate towards a black cat, as black is pretty much my favorite color anyways.

Boy, did he ever have your wife trained. Or perhaps I should say... BLACKMAILED!

“Tristan!” -heard most often after a spectacular crash is heard.
(Tristan Cameron the Black [as opposed to Kearen Marie of Borg], fitting name for a warrior, if only the poor cat weren’t so lacking in the brain department. He’s easily scared by his own tail...)

Nicely polite calling 'Tristan' at your encounter. In the same situation here, all my black cats thought their names were 'Jesus!'
