Hmmmm.... White is a moderate Democrat and has been an okay mayor IMHO. The governor's race interests me as well. I am not big fans of either Perry or Hutchinson, but it would seem Hutch would have the advantage there.
As for the Senate seat on the GOP side, I'd like Dewhurst or Granger. I really wish my local US rep, Ted Poe would run. He's opposed all the bailouts and is a true conservative. I would think that GOP should easily hold that seat.
I also hope our local state rep Dan Patrick would run for one of these higher offices as well.

I would not mind Hutchinson as Governor. And Granger or Dewhurst would be fine senators. I would prefer Dewhurst though.
Any one but White for Senate. Not an awful mayor of Houston, and though dull, not a bad guy himself. But the last thing we need is another “blue dog” Dem toeing the “REPO” line.
