Cool video. Remember the helicopter loop in the movie Blue Thunder? That was done with a radio controlled model. This one is for real.

Last aerobatic helicopter act I saw was at the 1986 Abbotsford International Airshow. Anyone else there?

So the comments in the video about “this has never been done” aren’t exactly true. Maybe in a U.S. airshow, but not in Canada or Europe.

R/C helicopters, BTW, do much more aggressive routines as you might expect.
