Keep in mind it was made in Germany, which also produced one of the most powerful anti-Communist films ever, The Lives of Others.

Great movie. I also loved "Goodbye, Lenin".

Another great anti-communist movie was "The Inner Circle" which was produced in Russia, but I've yet to see it on DVD.

I have it. You are right, it was good. Some humorous moments as well.

Me too. We stumbled on it by accident while channel surfing and were totally entranced. Very sweet film.
