There should be laws about not redoing certain movies. This movie is a classic. Probably one of the most important scifi films ever made.

The original fed into a fear of nuclear war with an outside agency threatening to lay down the law through good old Gort. Funny thing was Gort seemed pretty violence prone too. The theme was done better in the original Star Trek episode titled Errand of Mercy. I knew the remake would be the usual lib claptrap in overdrive.

Actually the “law” is that all works eventually DO become public domain, to become part of the cultural legacy of this nation. Restaging of these works IS what the founding fathers intended.

100 year copyrights were not.
