In the early 1970s both Jim and I were both represented by Peggy Taylor Talent in Dallas. I was not a close friend of Jim's, but I admired his talent as he more times than I wish to remember beat me out in auditions for commercials and radio spots. His voice was memorable, like fresh churned butter.

Both he and Peggy are now playing in that big Hollywood game in the sky. God Bless them both.
