If you don’t mind my pestering you with another question — why the tube changeout? I understand they were two completely different rounds; what did the 8” do that the 175 couldn’t and vice versa?
I have no idea. At the time I was a SPEC 4 mechanic and when my motor sergeant told me to change the tube I did it.
