Acyclovir must be an antiviral medication. I really don't know.

I’ve been taking L-Lysine daily since I had shingles (Herpes Zoster) 10 years ago. I took Acyclovir during my outbreak, but I’d rather stick to an amino acid rather than a strong antiviral that could possibly interfere with the immune system.
