Read a comparison between him and Les Stroud of SurviorMan.

If you were lost in the wild who would you rather be with? Bear or Les.

Consensus was that being lost with Bear would be more fun but you’d probably end up dead.

That and Bear takes nights in hotels on occassion.

Good comparison. Bear travels WITH cameramen, so instant rescue is on hand. Les Stroud travels solo, with the production crew some distance away, not aware of his exact location. When Les sleeps in the forest in Grizzly or brown bear country, he is taking a large chance. The production crew might be doing a “Steve Fosset” search, looking for crunched up bones.

No grizzly bear is going to sleep up on Bear, surrounded by his cameramen.

I have asked myself that question and without hesitation the answer is Bear. Les tends towards some dark moods and that's the last thing I want to be around in a survival situation. Plus I think Bear has a more extensive knowledge of survival skills. That said I have great respect for Les Stroud's skills. He is no slouch by any means.
