I have sent over 100 resumes out for jobs in San Antonio. I am an IT Manager, IT Project Manager. I havent received one call back. Have you considered the following:
- Am I targeting the right market?
- Does my resume say the right things?
- Am I customizing my resume based on the job description? If you're sending out the same resume to each job you apply for, you should seriously consider customizing your resume based on the job you're applying for. Most times the H.R. dunderheads will simply pass you by if your resume doesn't contain the buzzwords they're looking for. Those buzzwords or phrases will be in the job description. The trick is to include them in your resume so that it gets passed onto the hiring manager.
I also had a problem a few years ago when I was looking for a job that I was targeting the wrong position. After 20 years of Technical Management and Technical Operations experience, no one wanted to look at me for that type of position. As soon as I changed my target to an Enterprise Architecture/CTO position, the offers flew in. Perhaps you're having a similar issue?
Best of luck to you.

Thanks for adding in that tip about how one should format their resume. That type of thing is important as you so well know.

Thanks for the advice. My resume is will do the job. San Antonio still has that high wall / low wall mentality. They are also big on buzz words.
I really need to get my PMP certification. That’s on this weeks schedule. Get the work done so I can submit my application. Then get studying.
Good thing is my attitude is still good. Just have to watch the cash flow.
