If you want to read the truth about Sen. McCarthy and this period in history, I strongly urge you to obtain a copy of M. Stanton Evan’s book, “Blacklisted By History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and His Fight Against America’s Enemies” recently published in 2007.
It really does set the record straight and demolishes liberal/left demonology and mythology about the man and his times.
Coulters book Treason is also a great look into the facts of McCarthy era, and the man.
I think its the best book she’s ever written to be honest.

Oh, I am so confused now. Joe McCarthy did a firm with the Weather Underground? Surely, I have something wrong.
