I don’t know....I’ve been so full of adult beverages I passed out, but it never would have occurred to me to put something irreplaceable on a 7th floor balcony.
The evidence shows that he did put it on the balcony edge. Adult beverages or not, he CLAIMED a bird landed on it (wasn't that the story?)...
