Apple Macs have long had a reputation for being free of the viruses and malware that often plagues Windows.
But even Apple is now admitting that its users could benefit from protection from security threats.

Bwahahaha!
And we’ll let you know when Macs start creating V!/\&rA spam too. We’re still resting giddily with far superior quality and design, no crashes, no goofy wanna-be OS a la Vista, and no viruses. (Yes, Mac users actually use the latest versions of the Mac OS because Apple continues to make it better, unlike Windows XP users who need to use a 10-year old OS because Vista doesn’t work.) AND with the ability to run any Windows or Unix OS that you can run, simultaneously and transparently. Try that “Buwahahaha!” on for size, sucka.
When Apple comes up with hardware as versatile, ping me.

At Thanksgiving, my SIL was lamenting the issues she’s having with her new DELL. Spyware and virus ware won’t run, Norten, McAffee etc. She’s been on the fone with Dell support for hours, she says, and they still can’t tell how to get that software working at the same time she’s trying to get on the InterWeb...

Mac user for over three years now without using any virus or malware protection except my router firewall...
My point exactly. You guys don't even know what a tablet PC is!
All the snappy comebacks in the world won’t erase the memory of a few hours on the phone with tech support...
When a brand has, what, 7% marketshare, it is self-explanatory that it’ll have fewer third-party accessories and peripherals for something to go wrong.
I have used my PC for over a year... not a single problem have I had with it. Neither is it crippled like a Mac.
Apple is OK by me. I love my iPod.
Yeah, people always associate windows with “plug and play.”
So what other single company has a bigger share of the market than Apple, particularly in dollar volume?
Face it, microsoft is going the way of the MSM, and monitors that can be twisted so you can’t see them while you’re typing aren’t going to save them.
Nobody recommends antivirus software for linux operating systems.
LOL!
The Trojan requires user permission to install. A program can do just about anything if you give it permission. Trojans are designed to get into the system by deceiving the user, not the system, so they're more social engineering than system engineering.
