“Interesting to hear about the “aid to foreign students” angle.

But unless someone can temporarily convince some record-keeper that Obama is a Republican, I doubt anyone will come forward with details.”

An interesting perspective on this was offered in another thread yesterday. Basically it said, since it is CLEAR that Obama plans on keeping his B.C. under wraps, it makes him an easy target for blackmail ,,,,from other parties, other governments, KGB, etc. He is not helping himself OR his country because this could very easily not only be a Constitutional issue, it could be a security issue.

I read about the blackmail aspect of it all. It’s very dangerous as to who may bribe him and what he will give in to because they have the goods on him. With no one knowing anything about his background it makes the thought very real. What we do know, is that he associated with America haters that probably know all about him-citizenship included.

Your analysis makes excellent sense. The KGB would never put someone into a position of power over them unless they could be assured of absolute control over that person. Blackmail only goes so far. I.e. we can expect there will be one or more of his KGB-directed control officers in close proximity to him at almost all times when he’s president.
