Likely the mountain arose after the city was already there. Just hard to picture even getting food for more than a couple of people to the top of a mountain on a daily basis without modern technology.

Nope, you’re wrong. We as a people, globally...have gotten more stupid. Seems a brilliant mind is fast becoming a thing of the past. We know that in the Bible days the temples had all type of “magical” stuff that the priests pretended were the work of God. Like stuff floating (priests used magnets). They had hot/cold running water in Egypt for the kings and performed surgery, and even brain surgery with proof in the bones’ regrowth the patient lived well after surgery. I believe the best minds are in those who think and see how things work instinctively. Not someone who relies on what they learned in school/college. Of course, we need to be educated, but in that education learn to draw on your own common sense. Seems to be missing in most classes.

The Incas were also brilliant, but kinda evil in they sacrificed alot of their own. Cultish would be a better term.

A new study of the bodies has revealed that the children were "fattened up" with high-protein food for months, then marched on a grueling journey and drugged before their deaths.

Perhaps they were carried up the mountain by porters, so they would remain ceremoniously plump.

Peruvian porters rival Sherpa in the loads that they carry.
