I believe all this means is that the SG’s office is representing the FEC, not necessarily that they are representing all of the respondents. In that case, it doesn’t look like Obama or the DNC have filed anything with the SCOTUS in this case, so they wouldn’t have an attorney listed.
Was this Rush’s way of getting the topic on his show without risk of getting his own hands dirty with it?

Give it a rest, junior cadet. The wheels are sufficiently in motion. Nothing a talk show host can say at this point to change Alito's considerations. If it makes you happy, I think they'll take it, but it will be done entirely in camera, and no one will be satisfied with the answer.

You pick your battles, some hills you choose to die on, I believe that ensuring that the President (and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces) of this great nation is eligible for that position is one of them (if we are pushed off this hill we will be chased to another). Just out of curiosity, what is one of your hills, how is it more important that this. If you continuously give ground you will find that your back is to the sea and you have no where to go.
South Carolina officials have been asked who verified eligibility and what standard of proof was presented. That is a simple request and they are making some noise that they are going to demand proof, we shall see.
South Carolina Requirements
“The written certification required by this section must contain a statement that each certified candidate meets, or will meet by the time of the general election, or as otherwise required by law, the qualifications in the United States Constitution, statutory law, and party rules to participate in the presidential preference primary for which he has filed. Political parties must not certify any candidate who does not or will not by the time of the general election meet the qualifications in the United States Constitution, statutory law, and party rules for the presidential preference primary for which the candidate desires to file, and such candidate’s name must not be placed on a primary ballot.”
Hussein is going to be the 44th President of the United States. The quicker we all get through the grief process at what has happened to america (denial, anger, fear, bargaining, acceptance) the better chance we have that this will be a 4 year and not an 8 year administration. i pray to God that the birth certificate issues represents the bargaining phase and not denial.
Rush has spoken in passing about the BC issue....like a sentence here or there. He’s not into it.

According to the Constitution, a president must be a natural born citizen of the U.S. Mr. Obama’s critics have failed to force him legally to produce his original birth certificate, and Mr. Obama has resisted any attempt to make him do so. Currently, only Hawaii Department of Health officials have access to Mr. Obama’s original records.
Edwin Vieira, a constitutional lawyer who has practiced for 30 years and holds four degrees from Harvard, said if it were to be discovered Mr. Obama were not eligible for the presidency, it would cause many problems. They would be compounded if his ineligibility were discovered after he had been in office for a period of time.
“Let’s assume he wasn’t born in the U.S.,” Mr. Vieira told The Bulletin. “What’s the consequence? He will not be eligible. That means he cannot be elected validly. The people and the Electoral College cannot overcome this and the House of Representatives can’t make him president. So what’s the next step? He takes the oath of office, and assuming he’s aware he’s not a citizen, then it’s a perjured oath.”
Any appointments made by an ineligible president would have to be recalled, and their decisions would be invalidated.

Did Rush mention that? That because of his friendship with Justice Thomas, he discussed this issue with Thomas, and Justice Thomas told him that this is a non-issue?
Your comment implies that you believe that it’s just “some bloggers” who are interested and concerned about Obama’s refusal to provide his birth certificate. Do you think Alan Keyes and Berg are just your run-of-the-mill bloggers?
The COLB is NOT a certified birth certificate. Surely by now, you know that. Also, the statements made by Hawaii did NOT say that Obama was born in the U.S.
I don’t know if Obama is or is not eligible to become President of the U.S. What I do know is that he is hiding something and there has to be a reason for it.

Oh yes, if it will make you feel better, just consider this a political ALAMO. This, even if we lose, could turn into a rallying cry. Travis couldn’t be assured that his stand wouldn’t be dismissed and forgotten. This is shown by his words “yet I am determined to perish in the defense of this place, and my bones shall reproach my country for her neglect”. These are the men that we are so indebted to, and many can’t even demand that a presidential candidate show that he is eligible for the office. God help up! Off my soap box now.

They aren’t just cowards. I think they are self-centered and self-serving businessmen who are using politics to make big bucks. If Rush, Hannity, et al, truly believed in protecting our country and our Constitution above all else they would not be sweeping this issue under Obama’s bus.
