None of above things would have passed two years ago with a Republican Congress and a Republican President.
And they will not pass now that we have a Democratic Congress and a Democratic President.
Force our schools to teach people how to spell or at least how to use the FR Spell Checker.
Ive been working on the same thing. How about adding some accountability for government workers. No raises, bonuses, or promotions if the employee does not meet the standard. Create a new standard where government workers need to be pleasant, timely, and informed when dealing with the public. If they receive complaints from citizens, then their job is in jeopardy. A couple too many complaints and they are done in public service.
Welp, lets get started shall we?
You should have done a bit more homework before coming to your second point. Perhaps you read a synopsis of Friedman economics or maybe just hate big government that much. Either way, you should go read up on what happened to Chile in the 70s when they did something similar. I’ll give you a hint: it didn’t really work out.
For your third point you need to define “indoctrinate”. Remember, bills passed in congress become law. Therefore all materially descriptive terms must be defined. I’ll go out on a limb here and venture that you favor privitization or some sort of voucher program?
Really point 5 is tied up with the fact that every precinct in the country can have a different method of voter tabulation and a radically different ballot design. This system needs standardization. If that wasn’t what you meant when talking about “voter fraud”, please explain.
Point 8, term limits for whom? I’m guessing congress, but I suppose you could have meant the judiciary. This has its merits and its deficiencies. Why do you favor term limits?
Point 10, its FOREIGN, not foreing. Currently the US grants a large sum of money to overseas aid. Large in comparison to other countries that is, its minuscule compared to our GDP. Far less than other nations.
Really? Point 11, I liked “Starship Troopers” as much as the next guy (if you haven’t read it, do so.)but seriously, how could this work? I’m assuming that by citizenship you mean suffrage (the right to vote). What about the disabled? What about gays? What about “no taxation without representation”? Do you find a job for those currently unable or not allowed to serve in the military or is this just a convenient way to rob them of the vote? Our form of a fairly unlimited and accessible body politic needs some overhauling perhaps, but for something you dub the “restore America Act” you certainly attack one of its core principles.
My 2 cents:
All laws must comply with the Constitution, period.
Voter ID required to vote.
Term limits for the House and Senate. No lobbying job until 10 years out of office.
All elected official get same retirement and med coverage as the rest of us (SS & Medicare at age 65).
Political impropriety to self ingratiate is treason upon the people, punishable by life in prison. No exceptions.
Enforce the current immigration laws and take steps to ensure that illegal immigrants are PERMANENTLY deported or incarcerated.
