“Cringe Globally, Act Locally”
Sounds about right!
I learned something from helping the homeless guy, he was a Vet too. We talked of old times and I called a few places to find him some help. I got him a contact in the Vets Center who is trying to find him a job. I then called a church I know and they had a line on a room he could use for a week so he was off the street. Several ladies of the Aux. promised to see he got to the church dinner that night.
I saw a few hundred people walk past the guy curled in the corner of the building trying to stay warm. They were all intent on shopping or getting to their warm places, and couldn’t see the real test of their faith and humanity shivering just a few feet away. I swear, if it had been Jesus there, what would he have made of their claim to faith and human worth?
God Bless you, Johnn.
I am trying to catch up on reading posts.
Would you believe I have the A/C on? It will get down into the 60s today but it got to 80 yesterday!
Thanks for breakfast..yummy!
God Bless You and the precious Vet that you helped.
Johnn, what a wonderful story! I loved reading it and finding out how you helped out. Sometimes people just try not to notice those things they should notice and help with. I am so glad you did help out....what a wonderful thing you did do! You know the question “What would Jesus do?” In this instance you did what Jesus would have done. Absolutely! Bless you much for that.
God bless you!
