welcome to øbamaland, you 53M f`n morons
Actually if we want to bring theology into this discussion, the Bible is specific about the Death Penalty. It is not “Thou shalt not kill” it is actually “Thou shalt commit no murder (Thou shalt not kill). God says we cannot judge a man’s soul, but that if one commits murder “send them to me”. The only way I know to send a persons soul to God is to take their mortal life.
And I’d say this person should certainly go visit God...now!
It should have read...
Thou shalt commit no murder (Thou shalt not murder)
Too much turkey...sorry
Agreed
Do I think he should have killed her no
Agreed.
Depositions....and I'm assuming you mean *civil* depositions...are much,*much* different from criminal proceedings in which a defendant can get many years in prison.
What the court reporter does is vital during the trial and during the appeals process.Providing cookies to either side...particularly to the prosecution...could be interpreted as suggesting bias and a defendant can have a field day,in the appeals process, with any hint of bias from the judge, the court reporter or any other officer of the court...except for the lawyers.
Depends on the physical make up of the jury...it could have been the perfect treat. /h
I used to be a scopist, too. First time I’ve come across another one on FR. :-)
As a Catholic, I know my church would prefer I be against the death penalty. But, everytime I start to lean in that direction, some yahoo goes and does something like this.Every time you hear some priest speak out against the death penalty, remind yourself of the word "Inquisition".
