The author is mistaking bitchiness with confidence. Confidence and a sense of self is very attractive, but too many women think that being antagonistic is the same thing. It isn’t. You see this with women in business as well.

In many cases both points are very unwarranted.
Actually, I have read parts of the book...the title is a “hook” since the major premise IS confidence. She makes some good points that men do not want super needy women. In fact, she defines “bitch” as a woman who is confident and not running after the man. In many ways, she echoes a book by some guy called, “He’s just not that into you”...which says that when women make excuses for why men don’t call, commit, etc...it’s because he’s just not that interested.
This is typical woman’s mistake.
They confuse being “bossy” with being the boss.
If this was so successful, Halmark would not need a like of greeting cards for mistresses.
It is not about “getting the man” for these women, these women need to understand what is in volved in KEEPING the man.
