Just FYI...... A naked perp is often on PCP. If you don’t know what that means, you may be dealing with a manic psychotic superman capable of being shot in the chest with no immediate results. Now, knowing that, what should the cop do?
I think that many or even most of us were already aware of what you say, given the frequency of such occurrences, and I haven't seen any poster seriously question the police actions. I think that many (including myself) found the article amusing because of the choice of words in the title, as if suggesting it was merely another random 'motorist' who just happened to be naked and was therefore tased.
Given the circumstances I would probably have done the same thing and would have been ready to use lethal force as well, given the uncooperative nature of the perp....he could just have easily been fumbling with a gun as with his clothes.
