***technologies that have just started hitting the market and are very expensive, she said. ***

Last I remember, they’ve been out for quite some time. Somebody just woke up from under their rock.

And it sounds like the reporter.

Does this mean if I really want to be green, I should turn off the TV and never watch NBC again?? (just a thot)

It may not make you greener but it will probably make you happier.

That’s one way of saying it but I prefer to believe that the green-eco-weinies know that the would be the end if they were to tell the whole truth about just how much sacrifice is required.

Just imagine what would happen if the kids swallowing this trash were to figure out that draconian cuts in CO2 emissions means no more Nentendos and walking to a un-airconditioned and un-heated school.

Wii? It should be a PS3, with Resistance 2.

Those who believe in man-made global warming have no business using electric power beyond the absolute minimum. No tv’s at all for them. It’s a matter of life and death isn’t it?

So if the new digital tvs take more power and you have to ADD a digital receiver (electric) to your OLD tv if you don’t upgrade to the new “energy hogs”, why don’t we just scrap this Clinton plan to REQUIRE all tvs to CHANGE?

Can’t scrap the plan to go digital on all TV signals. The government already sold the bandwidth from analog for big bucks.

When our power goes out, which it does at least one evening every week or two, the Scrabble board and dictionaries come out. After about the 5th time last month, hubby doesn’t want to play any more. Apparently, using all my letters on the last play of the game, on a triple word score, catching him with a z and a j, he thinks I cheat. He says I set him up...of course I did. It’s Scrabble. He says I add insult to injury. Of course I did. It’s Scrabble.

The last word? ROUT.

Only if I can revive my old analog bag phone. As a phone, it got out farther and better than any of this highfaluting digital crap.

That black van that keeps driving past your house isn’t lost, he’s monitoring your television. The adjusting will be done remotely just like THE TWILIGHT ZONE!

“It’s pretty easy now to buy a wide-screen TV that uses twice as much energy as a refrigerator,”

But most of the time, I’d rather watch the t.v.

Every night we leave two TV's on - all night long We need the background sounds to fall asleep (One gets turned off about 3:00am). Plus every day I leave a TV near my pc on from dawn to whenever. Like it is right now (I *think* the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is on).

So.....

Come And Get Me Coppers!

(however we did replace one 40 watt bulb with a CFL that only uses 9 watts, So we're doing our part to 'be green'.)
