I’m wondering about Boise State. It seems that their No. 9 ranking (which could possibly move up with 2 more weeks of games and conference championships to go) would be in for an automatic BCS bid, by virtue of their ranking. Is there a “one non-BCS conference team max” rule in the BCS (Utah being the other team)?
From your link “Missouri projected to be in the Cotton bowl?”
But Missouri has 2 more games. Kansas next week. And for the big 12 Championship Vs who? Texas Texas Tech or Oklahoma. Who is the Big 12 south Champion? What is the tie breaker?
Now if Missouri wins the Big 12 Championship Vs Texas, they will avenge the loss that shot the chance at #1.
With all 3 Big 12 south teams ranked 2,4,5, and Missouri Ranked 14, a win by Missouri should elevate them into the top 10 and a BCS game.
Who do we want? I would think Oklahoma. A win would avenge the 2 losses last year. A rematch against Texas would be good. But since Tech beat Texas and Ok beat Tech, and didn’t Texas beat Ok, the team with the highest BCS rank will be the Big 12 South Champ. Who will it be vs Missouri?
And if Missouri wins the Big 12 outright, then won’t they end up with the best BCS ranking of the 4 teams?
I guess people with more money than I will make the choice.
If those matchups hold up, there are going to be some really lousy games this bowl season. (And, by lousy, I mean blowouts.)
