Teams test at GM Proving Grounds: Working around NASCAR’s test ban, fourteen teams will wrap up three days of testing their Chevy Impala’s at the General Motors Proving Grounds today in Mesa, Arizona. Richard Childress had all four of his Sprint Cup Series teams out there. #29-Kevin Harvick’s crew chief Todd Berrier also told PRN’s Garage Pass they will test later this month on the half-mile track built just outside the big track at Rockingham and they’ll shake down their road race cars at Virginia International Raceway. Other drivers testing included Earnhardt Ganassi Racing’s #42-Juan Pablo Montoya and #8-Aric Almirola and Hendrick Motorsports teams of #5-Mark Martin, #88-Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and #24-Jeff Gordon.
